OBH President Resigns

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

“A said farewell, but not goodbye.”

For the last two years the OBH board has worked hard to reorganize and revitalize. We have come a long way in just a short time. And there are a lot of good things to come these next couple of years. I am proud to have been involved in getting things turned around. Oregon Bow Hunters has more work to do and we have big plans for the future.

But sometimes the road that we travel along abruptly forks and we are forced to make a decision that was not projected in our annual plan. And this is where I have found myself, standing at a fork in the road, unable to take both; I have had to make a choice. Unfortunately, the road I chose was one that leads me away from the position of President of OBH. I have had to make this choice for several reasons, but the most important reason is my family.

I have chosen to make a career change that will not enable me to remain President. My heart is still with the organization and I will still be involved as much as my new job will allow. I cannot completely walk away from something that I feel so strongly about.

I have a lot of faith in the board and the communication that they have now. There is organization and direction for the leadership to travel. And as the membership grows and the board gets stronger OBH can do nothing but succeed.

As I write this letter of resignation I want to thank everyone that has supported me and the organization when times were tough. But I will be around, so there will be no need for a going away party.

KEEP THE PASSION ALIVE !!!!!!!!
